District Governor’s Citation
MANDATORY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
I . Membership
Clubs must show a net increase in membership according to the following table:
Membership as at 1.07.2018 | Membership Net Increase as at 31.05.2019 |
Club less than 20 | 40% |
Clubs between 20 and 25 | 30% |
Clubs between 25 and 35 | 20% |
Clubs between 35 and 45 | 10% |
Clubs more than 45 members | 5% |
II. The Rotary Foundation
USD ($) 50 per capita contribution to the Annual Programme Fund (APF) of TRF. Membership as on 01.01.2019 will be taken for calculating the number of members. The contributions will have to be made before 31st May 2019.
III. Rotary’s Public Image
- Atleast 1 project of the club must be covered in the medi Media includes Rotary News.
- “Rotary News” must be subscribed for 5 non-Rotarians –public libraries, Government Officials or any Public Institution.
IV. Events
Attendance at Rotary Events must be according to the following table:

District Assembly | To be eligible for DG citation, 75% of the Club Officers of the Host Zone must attend. Cochin is the host zone for the District Assembly. For clubs belonging to a zone other than the host zone, 50% of the officers must attend. The total number of Officers in the Club is taken as 14. The above criterion is only for DG citation. The DG expects all officers to attend the District Assembly. |
District Seminars | For the host zone, 20% of the Club Strength as on 1st July 2018 must register for the Seminar. For the other zones, the registration should be for minimum 10% of the Club strength as on 1st July 2018. |
District Conference | For the Host Zone – Coimbatore – Clubs must register 50% of their membership strength as on 01.01.2019 for the District Conference. For other zones – 25% of the membership strength as on 01.01.2019 must register. |
V. Training
Each club must have atleast one training programme at the club level on topics prescribed by the district and also engage those trainers from the District Training Team. This programme can also be jointly with other Rotary Clubs.
VI. District Priority
The following District Priority Projects must be done to be eligible for the DG Citation:
- One Project each from MERCURY, EARTH and SOORYA
- Following projects under MARS
- Ganga – Safe Drinking Water
- DhanyaDhan – Food grains to the needy
- Blood Donation
- Clothes for Destitute
VII. Reporting
Following criteria must be fulfilled:
- Fixing targets and reporting achievements in Rotary Club Central
- Sending monthly Club Activity Report to the District on time (e-reporting)
